Meet Captain Vicki Norman
Southern California native. Lifelong boater, USCG-licensed captain, Freedom Boat Club trainer, PADI Divemaster and 2025 National Boating Safety Council member.
With more than 30 years in the marine industry — from publishing Powerboat Magazine and testing 500+ high-performance boats to racing offshore and competitive waterskiing — I know what it takes to handle a boat with skill and confidence.
Since 2018, I’ve trained over 250 Freedom Boat Club members in a range of skills, including basic docking, advanced navigation, multi-engine handling, tow-sports safety, and offshore driving (single and multi-engine).
My approach is hands-on, patient, and tailored to help you enjoy boating safely while building real confidence at the helm.
